Press the handle or outer chamber in this case, and it will slide into the larger tube and the resulting vacuum will inflate the balloon. As the balloon fills the chamber gains pressure; the more you pump the more pressure there is. Then it pops off the end of the pump with a loud whistle and flies around the room in different directions. This simple process is repeatable over and over again until the balloon becomes too stretched to maintain rigidity. After the balloon is no longer usable, dispose of the balloon in the proper receptacle and use a new balloon. Most of the Rocket balloon packages come with one pump and two balloons; replacement balloons, or refills, are very easy to come by online and do not cost that much money.
