There are several different sizes including large and small, midrange and specialty slow cookers available. The Ronco platinum version show time rotisserie was considered the best for your dollar, at $160 it can bake all of your holiday meats or high quantity demands. All the infomercials say “set it and forget it” and that is widely true with this device. It is one of the most forgiving rotisseries available on the market.
The Ronco Showtime Rotisserie weighs twenty eight pounds. It has a standard electrical plug and a safety three hour timer shuts the oven off when the cooking cycle completes. The showtime platinum rotisserie comes with food ties, two flavor injectors, thermometer, Teflon coated drip trays, roasting basket, one spit rod, four kabob rods, carving fork, carving knife, rubber gloves, instructional video and a basic recipe book. It easily rotisseries fifteen pound turkeys, ten pound hams, and large crown roasts or ribs.
There are several different versions of this oven with different finishes and different accessories. Both come with a limited six month warranty that is not that remarkable. It has multiple heat settings allow you to cook different types of meat to the desired levels.
There are a few complaints about the show time standard rotisserie and usually were involving the build quality. The complaints stated that the Teflon coating wears off and the rods will squeak over time as they turn. The rotisserie is a good deal for the money and aside from the few minor setbacks like Teflon issues and clean up, however this rotisserie makes a great addition to any kitchen and also makes a really good gift for new couples.
